I was thinking about being a nurse but am kind of squeamish. Should I decide against it?

Hey, so this is kind of a complicated situation because you have to decide if this is something you think you can get over or not. Im a senior in college and my roommate is a nursing student. She loves blood and guts, shes been in clinicals and has had to see some pretty gross stuff. The other day she stood in on a C-section with twins, that stuff is no joke, its pretty gory. Its something youre going to have to really live with so if you dont think you can handle it, i suggest not doing it, there are other areas in the health field you can consider if you cant handle it. Nursing school is also very demanding in that there are really early clinicals sometimes like 5 am and the science cles are NO joke. Theyre just like premed cles. I dont mean to scare you away from this, but you shouldknow what you're in for...if you think you can get over the blood and gore and you're a dedicated student who is driven and ambitious....go for it!
