Don't certain Christians ever get tired of being wrong?

It's not only overt Xians. I had a GF briefly, who insisted that it's all over in 2012, because the Mayan calendar says so by not going beyond Dec. 21 of that year. What did she expect? A calendar that goes on for millions of more years, after the Mayans knew they'd all be gone? Who needs a calendar that far ahead? Does any doctor make appointments hundred or thousands of years in the future? Do the sports teams know the lineup of games for 2012 yet? LOL;-)
