Fell for my guy friend...does it have a chance?

Last yr,a guy friend moved to another country -we didnt really know each other before he moved. Ok, he kept in touch by chat & we could feel good chemistry. As I was on vac'n in his country last wk, we met up. hit it off, kissed and a bit more but I'm not a fast mover, so even tho we had grt pion I held off his advances & said 'not now". He was fine with it though & joked 'then when?' I'm a shy type and need time before but didnt get to explain this to him.He had invited me on a trip with another guy friend to leave the next day, roughing&sleeping in a car & the friend also invited me. After we made out I asked 'u still want me to come?', he said 'yes nothing's changed'. But next day he txted me to say it wouldnt work with 3 travelling&said nothing else! I was upset but replied 'have a nice trip!' Anyhow, saw him online yest. & I said hi, we chatted friendly & i told him Id like to meet to talk when he got back ..then we got disconnected! I hope he didnt do this! Pls advise!!
