Smokers: What do you do when people ask you for a cigarette ?

I was smoking near a busy bus stop yesterday and was asked for a cig by 2 different people over the course of 5 minutes. I shook my head each time and said nope. Does this happen to you a lot when your smoking in a public/crowded place? and What do you usually do?
